Every development has its own character, designed in harmony with the surroundings and benefiting from well maintained and landscaped gardens. Built to a high standard, great care and attention is paid to the design and layout with thoughtful touches helping to make life just that little bit easier, such as conveniently placed sockets and switches.
All of our properties have 24-hour emergency call points providing security and reassurance. Residents can live comfortably and independently, yet safe in the knowledge that help will always be close at hand. Our House Managers fulfil a good neighbourly role by providing residents with assistance and support.
Residents can enjoy a number of amenities and services. On the occasions when you may like some extra company, a spacious, comfortably furnished communal lounge, including a kitchenette, provides the perfect place to meet new friends. You will also find a well equipped laundry room and a fully furnished guest suite, where friends and family can spend the night for a very reasonable rate. The individual properties are fully self contained and normally consist of one or two bedrooms, a lounge/dining room, kitchen and bathroom, and you’re free to decorate and furnish your home exactly as you like.
Most of our properties are sold on a leasehold basis. This means that you will acquire a long lease on the property and will usually pay a small ground rent to the freeholder.
Goldsborough Estates is responsible for the day-to-day management of the development, for ensuring the necessary services are provided, and for maintaining the buildings and grounds. For this, residents are required to pay a service charge usually invoiced on a quarterly basis. The level of service charge varies between developments.
